Starting my chapter in NIE

Went for e briefing today in e Nanyang auditorium. I am jus a blur mouse following e crowd wherever they go. NTU is simply too big & everywhere looks e same to me. The auditorium is big & 1st level is almost full wif teachers. Ya alot of student teachers NIE is taking in each term & majority of them are to-be sec sch teachers. Only a handful of us are pri teachers but i am glad i ve company..Anli, Huiyi..is such a small world..yr fren's fren is actually yr fren..ya if u noe wat i mean. We concluded that sec sch teachers ve a higher turn over rate & tt's y so many new incoming ones each time round. Anyway everybody gg for enhanced sch experience from nxt wk onwards for 1 mth. Everybody except us, e chinese pri teachers. We are supposed to stay back on campus to do our content upgrading prog. Well.. actually every subject requires e teachers to go thru dis prog. However we ve e most no of content upgrading modules to do. We ve 10! Even sec chinese teachers ve only 3. Tt's y i tink our lessons need to start earlier than e others.

The main reason y we ve so many mod to do is mainly coz alot of them are not chinese major in UNI. MOE lowered e barrier of entry for pri chinese teacher due to huge demand & therefore need them to go for 'xiong' lessons after tt. When i say 'xiong' i mean mod tt we learn in UNI for a sem ve to be squeezed into studying intensively for 1 wk den exam. Ppl like us can enjoy some privileges of skipping mod tt we took before in UNI so we ve lesser load than those we are nt Cl major. But still nxt 2 wks i will still be gg NIE everyday for intensive lessons for 2 mod. Everyday reach abt 9 meaning i got to wake up at 6+..den after e long journey back still got to do assignment tt make up 50%..start to worry abt my stressful wks ahead..only thing worth happy abt is i ve off tmr & on fri..heh can charge myself fully before plunging in to study full time frm nxt wk onwards.
